Why a flatbed instead of towing on wheels?
- The wheels do not turn in transit, so the gearbox and drivetrain are not affected.
- Suits automatics, 4x4s and electric cars, which many manufacturers say should not be towed on their wheels.
- Better for accident-damaged cars, because no load sits on the damaged parts.
Low and sports cars
